Interlochen Arts Academy’s creative writing program is accepting applications for its Virginia B. Ball Creative Writing Competition. This is open to students in grades 8-11 during the 2022-23 school year and awards a full-tuition scholarship.
Cutthroat, a Journal of the Arts is accepting entries to their 2022 literary contests: the Joy Harjo Poetry Prize, Barry Lopez Nonfiction Prize, and Rick DeMarinis Short Story Prize. Submission period is August 31 to November 1. $25 entry fee.
Conduit Books and Ephemera is open to submissions for their fifth annual Open Book Prize. The winner receives $1,500 and book publication.
